Kapohocat et all, Great responses. Familiarity, aloha and most importantly, a great sense of fashion and style.

Aloha,

@DanielP

Don't be too cranky, from your post it sounds like you are a carpenter with work. Fussy work is still work.

"Yeah, I've been a bit Cranky lately. Current project just keeps hitting snags. Finish nailer just took a cr*p. Things on Punaweb just seem a bit more argumentative than usual lately. More Tuberose please."

I share your pain - just having drilled a deck screw through my thumb - good thing it was the left hand - grin

Aloha Deborah
It's a valid question to ask. After all, it's between "Da Kine" and "Punatic" isn't it?

For every word there's a denotation (dictionary meaning) and a connotation (subjective meaning for everyone's perspective/baggage, sometimes at odds with the denotation.) Do you love and respect the land?

I'm pretty sure no one would mistake me for kama'aina, but I remember when the Royal Hawaiian was the biggest building in Honolulu, and the last part of our address was "Oahu, T.H."

Deb, while PW is free for us the posters, it's not free for Rob, and I don't think he ever intended it to be a forum for self amusing threads. BTW, did you ever make a donation to Punaweb?
