The truck had some kind of posters on the fenders so maybe it was an election day spoof - vote for my pig.

You should really invest in a camera. Next time you see some aliens you can take a picture of that too! Big Grin

Mystery of Pig possibly Solved - From a FB user on Big Island - hawaii page:

"he is down [here] in naalehu, he has a sign on his car that says "Hog the Bounty Hunter" he sells fruit so i have finally come to the conclusion that he uses the pig to draw attention, it works, i even posted a pic of him."

@Rob - see, you are not hallucinating.

I have seen this pig numerous times. IT IS STUFFED, not real.
It lives in a jeep next to the road in Naalehu.
Surprised you old timers haven't seen this. I saw it last year before I became a resident and several times since. The guy also take it to the Kau farmers market if you want to be sure to get a picture.

Rob, it is not alive. No pig in their right mind would stand on a car when his rightful place is in the back seat. Which is where you will find him in the red jeep cherokee beside the road.[Big Grin]

Okidoki. I was driving past with a flatbed truck rather quickly and did not get to study the situation. Quite a sight though.
Assume the best and ask questions.

The one at Southpoint is the same pig. It is in the Big Island Weekly front page photo. No real pig will let you put clothes and leis on and stnd in one place for hours. the pig is stuffed and is owned by the guy who lives down southpoint way.
