Obviously, you are unable to understand this, which is why you and silverpenny and dugger attacked me, even though others stated similar opinions as mine.

IMHO, I think Hawaiian is more a philosophy, rather than skin color or race. It means living simply, humbly with the laws of the land rather than the laws of man. It means taking care of the aina because of the deep rooted understanding that this is what shelters and feeds and nourishes us, physically as well as mentally and emotionally. It's a knowing that destruction of our natural resources will lead to our demise. It's a connectedness to the core, to the source. It's the 'Aloha' that extends to all, the welcoming that goes beyond the islands. If you observe closely, you can definitely tell who the Hawaiians are, and it has NOTHING to do with skin color.

No one else here made the false supposition that I'm a cattle rancher except you. Nobody called me out except you. No one here made the false supposition that I'm Dugger except you. Nobody continues to make false suppositions/accusations except you. This is a pattern, cannot you see the forest for the trees?  Isn't it tiresome to be so antagonistic all the time? Can't we all get along?

So you aren't a rancher, I thought we went over that on an earlier post? So, again, are you going to give that land back to native Hawaiians (back to your original post).
What do you do with all that land you have that you pretend not to have? Should I post county property records?

Alaskana, to answer your point. Do I believe that sovereignty is a possibility? In all likelihood not. However, I consider the sovereignty movement to be an excellent starting off point for discussion on what has happened to the Hawaiian people. Once a sovereign nation, the people who initially occupied these Islands are now an underclass. They suffer more poverty, homelessness, disease (specifically incidents of breast cancer), and poor education than any other ethnic group here. This is after their land was stolen by imperialist factions of the US. To you Hawaii resident rednecks, this is historic fact and really can't be rewritten. I think a lot of this is explained in the Akaka bill which can be accessed on LexusNexus.
As I stated before, any discussion has to begin with Hawaii being a sovereign nation at the time of annexation. Saying that Kamehameha is an intruder or occupier the same as the US is nothing short of absurd. Please. And saying that Hawaii does not belong to the Hawaiians due to the fact that it was uninhabited before the first Polynesians arrived is equally absurd. The absolute fact is Hawaii was a country. There is no legal precedent for what happened here. Even the greatest Imperialistic country ever known, Great Britain, was able to give sovereignty back when it realized it's legal and moral obligations.
