currently on moloka'i after the trip from hell... went with go! to save a few and will never do it again. 6 hour delay in hon with management that was so rude the security ppl kicked them out of the terminal! any one else have such lovely experiences with this cockroach from hell that robbed us of aloha?

We need another alternative..I agree. Maybe Southwest will dedicate an inter-island operation here when they get their new order of long distances 737-800 planes that can reach the islands from the mainland this year!

I would like to see Aloha come back. I am guilty of helping to put them out of business. Remember the fare war in 2008 (?)
We paid 11.00 for inter island flights. It makes me sick thinking about it now.
I flew one segment with GO!. A very scary landing in Hilo was enough for me.

Even with Southwest being my home state airline I would still rather see Aloha on the runways again.

I have only done one puddle hopping trip, from Maui to BI. I felt like something out of India Jones. They weighed us and our luggage. And told me I had to break my carry on stuff into two pieces, and yet I had to hold both on my lap anyway. Nothing between us and possible terrorist pilots! I LOVED IT. Aerial tour of Hana, waterfalls, craters, rain forest. My favorite part was a dymo like label in their cockpit that was starting to fall off, This aircraft not equipped to operate in freezing conditions. LMAO.

When I asked the pilot if I "could take a picture of it because it was so small" some woman behind me in a shocked voice "never tell a man it's small". More laughing. I had walked right in to that.

The ticket said GO! But the plane said Mokulele.
Peace and long life

Well Go is the airlines that their pilots fell asleep on a flight from Honolulu to Hilo and over flew the landing by 20 miles. What do you expect?...LOL

Just the thought of jumping out of a plane makes me want to piss myself. But that half way - half price, now that's funny.

First and last time I flew GO was in 2008. That was because it was paid for by Kaiser to take my wife to their hospital. The pilots drove the plane on the tarmac like it was a sports car. I still don't know what kept the wing from dragging on some of the fast turns they were making! Any faster, I think the plane would have rotated on the taxi strip!! For me, it would be a flight of last resort.

I got a call from a pilot last night about this issue. Seems the FAA just raised the comercial pilots ticket from 250 to 1500 hours minimum as a result of the buffalo air taxi crash........

says a lot about the air taxi biz pilot requirements as opposed to the majors

In the day we were allowed (we insisted) to take our rigs along as carry on ---- the only way I'd fly these air taxies
