Blueberry and Boysenberry
#11
Hi Rene, I'm so bummed I missed that sale. I actually headed down there on Sat. morning, but by the time I got there it was raining so badly, flooding everywhere, I decided to give up. Sad They only had one variety at Paradise Plants, I had thought about that, since I knew that to be the case for my apple tree. When I looked online on this variety Southern Highbush, Sunshine Blue it said it was self pollinating, but that larger yield would come by cross pollinating. I had heard from someone that Garden Exchange had them too, so maybe I will check them out. Both my plants seem to be doing well even after the heavy rains we just got. Lots of blueberries on the little guy already and a couple on the boysenberry. With this sunshine weather this past year gardening has been a dream up here in Mt. View.

Nalu, I'll be in touch, too, to get some Alpine starts. They seemed so easy to grow, only thing, we had as a pest was similar to white fly, but while I saw many hover and fly, I never did see much damage. Way cool, something I won't have to give up to live in Paradise. I just never imagined they had made it to Hawaii. Peggy

Life goes on, with you or without you.
Peace and long life
