I would like more info on damage to areca palms planted next to ocean, mine are in the path of the tradewinds and 50 feet from ocean, they immediately started turning brown and subsequently died--anyone else experience this?

Ours are 300 ft back but protected from direct wind off oceans and they FLOURISH!! we just trimmed them back again!
