Baggage is about to increase on inter-island flights on Hawaiian. Soon it will be $17.00 for the "first" checked bag...up from $10.00 currently.

in the meantime the ito -lax & ito to smf routes (the two i use most often) are hovering right around 600$ rt flights at these rates as soon as next week. - pretty cool imho

flying round trip Hilo to Reno $634.
One stop in LA.

Have to go to Reno 3 to 4 times a year and this sure cuts the travel time.

I recently heard that the ITO to SFO flight is going to be moved up to an early afternoon flight (from its current 8pm-ish departure) and that it will go daily. The time change now shows up online for flights in September, but it's still only showing Saturday departures.
