If so, what's your review of them?

I have. Boarded our cat there for a month while we toured Australia. They did a great job. They even played with him every day.

We have used them for both our hyper pup & 4 feral mix cats (these act sorta domestic in their own room, but go nasty feral when they are not in their own room)

The dog LOVES it there (we do get the larger Ohana suite for her, as she freaked with the cage sides of the smallest kennels). One cat likes it there, 2 are ambivalent and one was totally against it, life & everything....but that is a large cat with a major attitude, so I would not really judge by him...

If you have not been there, it is in Orchidland on a large property with several study fences & a house on the property, but the kennels are separate & very well constructed, just for pets... with a lot of play yards & a really wonderful staff.

Haven't used them, but have heard good things about them. We used Hilo Kennels and had a good experience there.

While they were nice people, and took good care, the situation was traumatic for my cats, especially the one that is a fraidy-cat. She about went catatonic, and has never recovered in that ever since she freaks out if she even thinks I might want to take her somewhere.

Too many dogs barking all day long, for a cat that is afraid of dogs and not used to having them around. If a cat is adjusted to dogs in the family, probably OK.

If I had to do it again, I would really want a cats-only service, but don't know that there is one.

btw, I was on island (just in middle of housing transition and afraid cats would run away), so I did visit them. That's how I know how unhappy my cats were. Better not to know and just come back to "happy to see you" cats, I guess! The good news was my cats were super easy to please right after that, as they were clearly worried about going back and they were just happy not to be there.

Also my cats would not eat any of the food provided, so I had to bring them food. They use good food, but you know how cats have brands they will not eat, and there was no choice of brands.

In sum, I so wish I had not had to board my cats, as they were forever changed by the experience, and became paranoid. I think it was a month. Again, they were caring people, but it was just not OK for my cats to not only be left in a strange place but to hear dogs barking all day, because the cats didn't know that the dogs weren't able to get to them, so they were in constant fear.

I used them once for just an overnight. My Golden was young and only knew not to mess his crate. He did not pee in the kennel. Because I hadn't asked to have him taken out for an extra charge he just waited. He peed right outside the front door. I wish I had asked more questions before I left him. I would have paid the charge. My mini-doxie was with him and seemed to enjoy the night away

use the a lot - my woof actually seems to look forward to going there when we arrive... spends maybe 60-90 days a year there (several visits) as I travel a lot.

They have a good relationship with some of the hilo vets - My woof on a diet per dr versluis - likes her woof lean...... and checks in on mine if he happens to be onsite. Woof is always on his target weight when I pick him up - fist stop McDucks for woof fries - we will fix that!

first class operation with very good rates most importantly they pay attention to detail and care ........
