I have a used electric, self-cleaning convection oven/range that you are welcome to. It is dirty but works fine. I am remodeling a house and it just needs to go. It is white and has some rust on the bottom of the door. I also have a white side by side frig in the same condition.

Nana - sometimes the British comes out in me - you can find humor in just about any situation and if you can't then you're likely to go completely bonkers. Hotinhawaii - that's a very kind offer! I think however, the problem with the stove (it's a gas one) is the igniter is broken so in theory it's 70 bucks for parts and me figuring out how to fix it. I've a separate Walmart-issue pizza oven so if it comes to it I can still bake something although it has to be very small.

Well, just got back home to find my top freezer refrigerator had broken while I was away and all the food in it had spoiled and the house was rather smelly. Given everything that's going on at the moment I'm not sure I want to fork out on a new fridge right now and am sure a repair won't be cost-effective. I wondered if anyone had recommendations for a used appliance place where I might pick up a reasonably priced fridge/freezer? And just to double check, is the Pahoa transfer station still accepting old appliances (or is there another option)?
Many thanks in advance.

We put an offer in on a house that has an upright freezer in the kitchen (it was turned on low so it was only refrigerating) you can have for free. Unfortunately, you would have to wait until we find out if our offer is accepted and we close on the property. Though we did request earliest close possible. Probably not your best option I know but if nothing else works out for you...

Forgot to mention that your homeowner's policy might cover the replacement cost of the food that spoiled when the fridge broke.
