I would venture to guess on the west side by the color of the rock.

Tom is a regular on this site... I'm sure he'll chime in when he sees this post. Great photographer to say the least!

If you are in Hilo, Bruce and Tom have a studio right on Kamehameha. I've met Bruce at his studio, he is friendly and will answer questions about his work.

Puna side. Coast road south of MacKenzie Park - there is an old cattle grate and a 4wheel jeep track makai side with kukui. The area at the bottom is sandy with lots of portulaca. At high tide, the ocean comes in and the 'waterfall' fills the low spots, creating some nice 'bathtubs'.

I know where you are talking about Rene but there is a lot more vegetation almost up to the cliff as I remember and the rock is black although sandy in some spots.

If this is from there, we totally missed this and how neat it is when we go in there.

Rene - Thanks for the info. Is it possible to walk there from MacKenzie Park? Or since I would like to go at high tide to see the "waterfalls," would the high tide prevent walking along the coast? If it is possible, about how far would it be?
