Can anyone suggest a good tax person who can deal with semi-complicated taxes, not business taxes but personal, including how to deal with a very small inherited deferred compensation account which is liable for taxes without pushing us over the line into the mysterious realm of the Alternative Minimum Tax?

Aloha Carol: you might give Karl Kirkendall(965-9331) or Nancy Kramer (965-2729) a call. Both will consult with you to determine your needs first. Both have many years experience, and you can view threads from the past on this forum for review and references. You would have to drive into Pahoa, though...

Ron Dolan in Hilo has been very good for us.(935-5433)
He was recommended some years back when we were dealing with tax issues much like you described.
