But Obie, it means you can come over and get a beer and ribs at the new pool deck/outdoor extreme kitchen! Looking for someone to make a sign that says "Rob's Rib shack" like the old time looking signs.

other than that, occasional tile saw sound and installation of new cabinents but no big structural project. (we are doing what you did last summer! LOL)

The Government sells Kuleana's in the form of licenses to the Neuvo Alii. It then forces the commoners to patronize them, thus cementing the social order, so those on the bottom stay there. Notice the insurance industry has it's finger int he pie also.
The Government's cut is the increased tax along the way, plus the emotionally gratifying effect of having everyone under their thumb.
Next we will have Wiping Contractors, for noses and other parts. You cannot be trusted to do that safely for yourself either.

I believe there are only 13 states that require a license to build. Even New York only requires if your working within the City limits. And still most of those states only require a license if the job is over 30~70K. In Maine, you could build, wire and plumb your personal res. and even an apt if it was in the same structure. Still had to pass inspections of course. This is criminal what the state of Hawaii is suggesting. Unconstitutional. I am unsure if it is constitutional to limits how much someone can earn, i.e. "under $1000".
Time to " Take the Poawer Back".
