While just reading about a cluster of deaths in Alabama that they were investigating for the flu, a "new coxsackie virus" was cited as being identified last year (foot and mouth). NOt related to any deaths of course, but evidently, a new strain of this common virus showed up last year on the mainland. This may be why we got it a "second time". Dont know. It may be the strain that was just going around the area here. Maybe it's a worse strain or something? My older son was really sick. HOpefully, it's run it's course by now.
