The fire went out when they closed it four years ago. It is still not lit and I hope they are not totally done with the interior decoration. There was a "musty" warmth to the old V-House that isn't there in my opinion. The great paintings are not there and a lot of artwork seems to be missing. But that's the worst of it. The hot dog machine and soda dispenser in the bar are gone and the atmospehre is more for a nice night out. Real friendly staff and the bar food looked good and seemed reasonably priced. There were only a couple of patrons in the bar as I don't think too many know it is open yet but I think it is going to be a very popular place to hang. And, it Volcano House. Just don't get angry if you check the room prices. Whoa!!!!
