Ohh I didnt mean to not give enough detail!! I Love all the replies Ive got so far as It's great to hear others experiences! Basically we will be relocating there this July as soon as our homes are ready. ( Son and I should have to be there by mid July as he has orientation for school)
We are moving and my mother in Law also and so we have our pets and hers combined to equal too many pets! Anyway I have over the last year had all rabies done in proper order and timeframe and rabies blood testing completed for all. Also the 120 day waiting period is over so all we need to do now is book flights, submit paperwork to ag with fee, preflight health certificate and off we go.
But with 6 people moving from two homes here to two homes there and 3 dogs, and our cats, and her cats the timing of corrdinating eveything is a bit much, plus everthing else involved in a big move with multiple people
thus I considered the pet shipping service. Trying to time everything and transfer through HNL or direct to Kona is intimidating.
However after talking with Akona I think I will attempt it myself. Im still waiting to hear back from Island Pet movers I have already submitted the form for a quote. And if they are more reasonable considering Ive done most of the paperwork already I may go with them.
But If not we have decided that since we will have people coming on 3 different flights at different times in the month that with each 2 people that come we can send a couple pets with them as baggage on AlaskaAir and that way its not too overwhelming for just me
I thank you all soo much as I have received some great advice so far that has helped point me in a good direction!!![
