My private subdivision roads are nicer then the county roads if thats good for anything. I honestly prefer the gravel though...

We have to resist these "fees" that are actually just taxes. Council members should be called upon to justify raising taxes on those who can least afford it. It's not fair for a disabled person getting $298 a month who needs their car to get treatment, etc to pay the same as their neighbors making $50,000 a year if they own the same car..

Drivers should subsidize the bus as it takes cars off the road making their commute easier.

The council needs to get creative and stop screwing the poor (I'd usually add middle class, but they're now gone....it's just rich/poor now) and find more creative ways to generate income. Everyone should pay something, but it needs to be fair.
