Yesterday I saw Hawaiian air flying over Hilo bay & the smaller turbo plane...as well as a lot of helicopters (The Golden Princess was also in port... 3k guests & over 1k crew...on of the larger boats to entertain

Your helicopter were flying over Keaau today (wasn't near the bay today...)

Cannot say if they LANDED...but seems a long way to go if they are not landing in Hilo!

I would also wonder how easy it would be to get 50 police cars parked on Keaau Pahoa...can only confirm that it was not Tuesday afternoon, as I went back & forth on it....

Sounds paranoid.

Military does training flights to get pilots more hours and experience doing "touch and go" they land and take off repeatedly to practice. - this could make it seem like military flights are landing constantly - probably just one plane.

Not 50 cops in all of puna let alone along 130.

As rainyjim said the Air National Guard often does trainings with cargo planes - they touch down, take off again, then circle around Hilo Bay and do it again. Sometimes for a couple of hours at a time. It can be kind of annoying but if there's ever a disaster where they need to fly supplies in, you'll probably be glad they're familiar with it.

The tourists are arriving as usual ...

Yeah, I get the military planes over my house, and have watched them do the touch and go many times, for years now.

Someone needs to chill, I think.

You friend was not mistaken about the police and the military flights , as
I have friends that do the Hilo market , as well as a friend that works at the sally shop (Salvation Army), both of which have told me that on that market day (Wednesday), they, (many vendors at the market, and friend at sally shop+ numerous others) observed Airforce 1, (which of the 3, I don't know), escorted by 2 fully armed , (missels and bombs), fighter jets escorting Air force 1, and bringing up the rear was an all black very large cargo? jet.

Not quite the same as "only been seeing military planes landing in Hilo the last few days..... "

It's only AF One if the CIC is actually on board. Pretty sure he is politicking on the mainland, not here.
