Seriously? You thought that while living next to a gigantic natural smog machine that pollutes the air all the way down the island chain? Sure, Kapoho is lucky with the way the wind blows most of the time, but not always.

before the eruption of the pu u o , January 3, 2014 marked the 31st anniversary of the Pu`u `O`o eruption on the east rift zone of Kilauea Volcano.
Before that , in general old timers say that the air was pristine, and likely was because we are indeed living in a quite distant from land place . With the caveat that there were days that weren't as good
due to volcanic activity, so I supose it did depend on which way the wind was blowing and where you were living
