Say I want to barbeque some good steaks for friends, where do I shop for good cuts of local beef? I see some local beef at the grocery store in foodland, but usually just ground beef.
Me ka ha`aha`a,
Mike

Volcano farmers' market used to include a Ka'u rancher with local cuts; have not been recently.

George's Beef is recognized locally for having the best grass fed beef on the island, although pricey, the quality is worth it especially to impress visitors.

George's is the first place that came to my mind. Where all the locals in the know go to get good cuts of beef for the holidays.
Foodland also has more than ground hamburger of local grass-fed beef. They have steaks as well. Kuahiwi Ranch is in Ka'u. I believe their website has a list of all the markets where they sell their local beef.

KTA usually has local grass fed steaks.
I actually trade rabbit meat with a punawebber for my beef (he grows his own).
