snorkle, An idiot, yes. Insane person, no. In most of the CCWP states, if you have a domestic violence, violent or sexual crime, or battery conviction, then you are stripped of your guns, period. But the more important question is, can a murderer carry a gun. That answer is yes, also. Same as any criminal can carry a knife, hammer, ball bat, etc... Can they carry Legally? That's another issue. Someone intent on killing someone else isn't too concerned with the laws on the books, as you can imagine. Granted, it is harder to go on a stabbing spree or a hammering spree, and someone who is willing to fight for theirs and others lives would most likely step into the fray and end the dude before the body count started mounting. Obviously, that person is not going to be ericlp, PaulW, or Midnight Rambler. They'll be too busy screaming and running away to beg at the feet of their 'self before service' "representatives." But then, they don't really value life anyway. They value feelings. As in feeling secure or safe rather than being. Feeling like there aren't people out there packing rather than acknowledging that there are. For them, ignorance truly is bliss.

Well guys, and anyone else who thinks their "feelings" trump my God-given natural right to self-defense...

As per violence crime goes Hawaii ranks 36th. So in that respect, there are 14 states with less violent crime per capita than Hawaii.

Since you consider yourself the legal expert on this matter, why not go argue your beliefs with Alan Beck and the 9th circuit and see how far it gets you. By all means, go run to the State legislators and see how far that gets you also. LOL. You're a funny guy.
