Black Hat SEO comes to Puna and Punaweb
#31
the issue is using a spoofed content and page title to drive traffic from the site the content was stolen (and the googlers were looking for)

to yours is how its done usually using false pretenses ie connected to this site

a form of impersonation if that helps - at least the judge agreed with us in my case - grin

ever been in a lawsuit over nuthin? ... easier to hand over the ten grand - the other lawyer knows it will be at least that for a retainer...common in my world - may be not so here on Island - no one has any money - grin

Drive traffic from the site? So now it's less traffic?
Again, who cares?

A non-commercial site does not care.

I do - if you dont - pass on the topic Im not making you respond or toss in your 2 cents - grin

a non commercial site can still be sued

if this shenanigans takes hold on the web - sites like Punaweb will be buried by the deceit and not show up on google

kind of up to Rob whether he cares or not - the site has some value - Id hate to see it and the other non commercial sites not be able to be found - hope this helps.....

You seem to enjoy worrying about nothing. Go for it.

I worry about what happened to me - could happen to others .. misrepresented link and content goes away - so do I - pretty simple

Although the direct link you provided in your first post still works, they have modified the link on their resources page so Punaweb opens in a new tab or window rather than embedded in one of their html pages.
Me ka ha`aha`a,

Isn't that the whole point of a forum - getting people to participate?
Not much worth copyrighting here.

Rob has to pay hosting fees partly based upon traffic. The more traffic, the higher the monthly fee.

Seems like you went through this long back and forth without paying any attention to my comment. This thing has been there for almost three years, and no one(on either end) has noticed. While it may not be the most correct thing to do, it obviously hasn't had much real effect.

the site has been up for three years -

seems about the time the young lady arrived from riverside county cali via new york - if Im on the right profile, correct me if I am wrong

...another cali real estater plying their trade in Puna

No telling when the offending page was created

half baked removal par for the course - must be desperate for more mainland churn

did you know that 10 percent of the agents move 90 percent of the property - I really like clark treated me fair and square when I needed an agent out here
