Why remove a post of a public record of criminal conduct?

I do not allow attacks on people who are not here to defend themselves. If there is a link in the press you want refer to in this regard that is fine. Punaweb is not a newpaper. I do not have time or interest in trying to verify statements such as yours.

Assume the best and ask questions.

I know this question is old, but I think it still applies. My contractor used Jeffery Meek and what other posters have said years ago about him sending anyone but himself to the job and quality control lacking is still true. Basically, they were supposed to come on given date and never came until days later. I was told that job would take three days, well it took almost 2 weeks. That's not because it was a big job, it's because the guys are always talking, leaving for some reason or another, or lacking the right tools. It was horrible for other subs. Jeff may be a great guy, but you'd be lucky to see him. He didn't touch a fixture here. My hot/cold lines were mixed, too. Maybe that's normal in plumbing? Well, maybe he works better with individual homeowners than contractors...but as the saying goes, "You get what you pay for!"

Gerry Madie has done a lot of work for us over the last 5 years. A full new build from rough in to finish, plus repairs in an older house where we had to replace all of our copper pipes with pvc, fix leaky sinks, unplug drains, etc. He charges by the hour but is happy to have the homeowner assist to reduce costs. I helped do all the cutting and running around when we did the pipe replacement job and the final cost was less than half of what the other plumbers bid. G & G Plumbing. I found him on Punaweb!

I also like Randy Dresselhaus but only had him on one job when Gerry was out of town.

wow, blasted...amazing, after plumbing over a 150 homes a year, I can still know exactly who the "anonymous" posters are...I'm so sorry for the hard working men that put in the hours to go the extra mile and get blasted for just trying to do their best. I guess at my age I need to learn from my buddies Gerry Madie and Randy Dresslehouse, shut off the phone choose my customers better and charge big $$$$. Serving the community by putting men to work to support their families and doing it in a fashion that is safe and cost effective isn't easy, but at least I have the satisfaction and pride knowing that there are the customers that value us, not just because I'm a good guy but I actually care. Care enough that posts like that hurt. Hurt, because I know how hard those men work to do the right thing...

If you want a Plumbers Pick I'll break It down: Dave Clean Sewer lines if you have a stoppage! Randy for service Kapoho and HPP, Gerry if you have an Item that you really need a guy to follow up and research the best options. Keith Shigahara if you want a clean copper job. Charles Sanner all around great guy! Fair priced new construction, my plumbing team. Complex repairs/troubleshooting I'm hard to beat. I'm actually the rep for American standard tubs and GE water heaters. Scheduling,I keep up but I bet John Gap has me beat, he'll probably say so too. And of course there's a bunch of really good unlicensed guys but that's the risk I couldn't recommend but face it sometimes people have hard times and at least there's someone to help. I'm lucky we are pretty stable financially so when we can we help the needy or work out payments. I've had fixed income people on small billing for years. I'f I can help I will, I owe that to the Island, II'm sorry if I missed you in my list, but we have some of the best plumbers on this island, I know I worked in LA and Orange county. Oh Yeah! Paul Mikel Mauna Kea repairs in town!!!!

Jeff, I'm sorry if what I wrote hurt you. That was not my intention at all. Someone wanted to know my experiences with you and so I shared. We both know I didn't write the bulk of it! This is not a personal attack on you or your men. They were nice guys with good intentions but I didn't hire you to be my buddy, I paid you to install my plumbing. All the issues I'm having are just pure facts and I'm not exaggerating or making things up to hurt you or your men. Like I said, they are good guys. I am just very disgruntled with all the plumbing issues I'm having and I'm glad you returned my messages. Thank you that means a lot to me and I hope we can get this current water heater issue solved.

Obie, it sure does look like I just write to slam people. THis is only my 5th post here and I can see how it might appear that way. I'm not apologizing though since I'm pretty good about praise and appreciation...just doesnt look that way here as I dont often jump on the Internet these days. I would still warn people about choosing cali bamboo since I had that problem and then found the boards molded with 3 months. I am so happy with the engineered hardwood floors I did end up getting. They couldn't be more perfect! So I hope to save others from stress and heartbreak by sharing my experience. Now that my construction process is complete I have many more experiences I can share. The following people have all been wonderful: Josh Catton for painting, Ck Park for drywall, Dayne Tamanaha for electrical, Big Aina gutters (I think that's what their name was) for gutters, Fence pros for gates and fencing, Mike Hensley for tile, granite, and flooring, Puna Rock for gravel, Jeff Anderson for local wood and milling, Big Island Countertops, Janel Arujo for drafting, I know I've probably forgot some... ALL these folks have been exceptionally wonderful in their service, quality, integrity, communication and prices. I highly recommend them all.
