I might need for my daughter to ride the bus in the evenings on the Hilo to Pahoa route.
It shows that it doesn't stop in HPP or Ainaloa at night but can she still pull the cord and get off anywhere on the highway? Like in front of Aulii off the highway?
We're not familiar with riding the bus here, in Alaska the bus driver on some routes would only stop at bus stops but on other routes would stop anywhere along the road.

Yes, You can pull the cord for a stop & the driver will probably stop at the next stop (most will not stop "right away"
I have found that most of the evening drivers are very conscientious, and if she explains, upon boarding, where she would like to stop, mo' betta! Also, do you have the discounted tickets for her? student rate (with student ID) is $1 per ride, $7.50 for a 10 ride ticket (only bought at the main bus terminal in Hilo & at their offices along Kamehameha)

I would need to run down to Hilo and buy those tickets. That's no problem. The jeep is being naughty and having trouble starting. So if worst comes to worst she'll have to ride the bus the last couple weeks of highschool to her night CNA class. Then when school is out she can ride in with her dad and take the class during the day.
I figure at that time of night, not that many folks are riding the bus so the bus driver would be more likely to let her off where she needs to be. I know a bus driver once went out of her way to drive Lauries friend closer to her house off the bus route since it was late at night and the girl was the only person on the bus and it was the last stop for the bus for the night.

I read this because my kids will be catching the bus, too, for a few days next week. But I am interested in your daughter's CNA program. My daughter was in a health care cohort at her HS in AK, but doesn't have one here. Where does your daughter go?
