And as well I would argue that they have been here for a long , long, time already since their are well over 30000 written mythologies speaking about visitors to our planet - including the bible.

Really? Really?

Life to you is an episode of the Twilight Zone? The X-Files? The bible?

I think you need to watch more TV and read more books of myth!

We never got that Big Island Spaceport in Ka'u back in the 1990's, so I guess Uncle Robert is going to take the local space program into his own hands. Not sure if it's true, but I heard today that he's already started dozing and leveling the lava field.

Next question, if the first interstellar outerspacecraft lands, will this finally mean jobs for Puna? Assuming as Opihikaobob already mentioned, they're not here to try out recipes from their book, 'To Serve Man.'

Uncle Robert speaks with a sparkle in his eyes! He is a person of the land, some of which was not there 15 years ago. Let's listen to the message, there is nothing sinister there. Many years in the making and centuries of history in his blood!!

Best Place to be, I love it! Great music, meeting new Awesome people. all the Haoles move in and seem to ruin all good things out of their own greed? Let the Hawaiians do what they do, it is not your business. Learn the culture and absorb it, or go back to your homeland.

Assuming you were trying to write "our" instead of "are",

your statement is NOT humorous.

Oh boy! This is getting interesting. Maybe you can elaborate and tell us all about the good things the white man/woman is ruining for you.

Let the Hawaiians do what they want to do? What are the mean white people restricting them from doing?

Did you even watch it?

I guess I'm not amused much either but what you gonna do? If they want to go fly around in space ships, well, more power to em.

I forget his name now and it was many years ago. I think he's passed away but might be wrong. Anyway, back in late '96 or early '97 I was at the summit doing some engineering work during the day and took a phone call from someone claiming to be running for mayor. The conversation started off well and then suddenly he changed course and told me that all those stars we observed will be coming towards us and changing into angels. The conversation ended soon after that.

Anyone remember who this might have been? I think he lived in Puna, ran for mayor (I think) in 96, perhaps again later. I remember he only got 5 votes or something like that but it didn't put him off. Fortunately I never had to deal with him on the phone again, but it was an introduction to life here...

@ ericip & james

eiicip, I watched the videos and "got" your "humor" and didn't take it as being intended as offensive. However, it wasn't clearly stated (overly cryptic for too brief a quip?) and was left open to easy misinterpretation, especially to those that didn't take the time to watch the painful videos.

james, I do think you misinterpreted (possibly didn't watch videos) and failed to exercise Rob's prime directive.

OK, that's all for now from your favorite "know it all" poster.
