hey folks ,, just got back frm twn . it really doesn't ever get easier it seems ,, just drove down rd 1 again ,, slowly ,, yes there are potholes ,, I didn't see any sign of sledge hammer marks or jack hammer marks in the patches,,, what I did see was people trying in vain to patch and fix on their own ,,! I say again I didn't see any sign of vandalism ? many of you here are my friends and neighbors and you know me,,, so I can say that it has been an ongoing problem,, thru so many hands and offices that its even humorous in a sad way ! iv patched my own road and the lettered road many times to the extent that I had resources and along with most of you here watched as this has gone on for more than my 20 yr. the shame is really that if we added it up ,, what we have all spent in labor and money and material,, we should have several rather easy roads !

I forgot to mention that I don't hate anyone as a group or race or religion or gender ,, the few folks I have a problem with know who they are and they just need to be removed from the gene pool before they can breed again . yes we do have a few troglodytes and trolls ,,even one really nasty old shrew ,, that would be way happier living in Somalia where their courage and self sacrifice could be considered worthy . I just want to throw it out there so all will know ,, those few folks thru their own stupidity and hate filled ways ,, have to thank themselves for the way other good folks feel and react to them ,, yet like a child they just don't see how horrible and vile they are in their socializing skills ,, and mannerisms . so in a nut shell THE MOOSECOCK DOSENT HATE ANYONE THAT DOSENT DESERVE TO BE HATED AND HAVE THIER GEENES ERASED FROM THE HUMAN GENE POOL .

mimosa ,, iv been here a long time and I just don't recall the death toll on 9 and c ,, you said that it has saved many lives ,,, and I was hoping you would be kind enough to elaborate on this comment for me ,, and you know as well as I that NOTHING REALY NEW IS GOING ON DOWN THERE, we have watched it go on and only groused about it from the comfort of our armchairs. I would be happy to vote you or Gladys kravitz to the board and even the presidents seat ,,, under the condition that you practice what you preach so loudly from atop your sturdy soap box !

Mr . Moose - Talk to J.Rhoades or P.Snowden about that cement patch, talk with the wahine having a difficult birthing when the river was Up n running and the only way out to ER was through the Cn9 river area, the only way the emergency crews could access her,was through that elevated concrete area.Saved both her life and her baby.
I used to serve on both boards, back when M.Lowrey and P.Snowden and even P.Epperson and J.Rhoades were on the board.Back in those days HACA was all inclusive and not two separate boards.
L.Hosier and even Sheldon were involved as sheldon would teach classes on Roberts Rules of Order, even for small boards.
I have done my 35 years or more of service to the community.
Back then, the books ere open,no secrets,M.Lowrey had the insite to put excess funds into 10K CDs and those are long gone.Back in the days when over 60% of lot owners paid their dues.
before pavement, before cell phones, before HELLCO,when Isimoto did the original paving on Rd 1 with left over monies from Army Corps of engineers for the S.Kulani bridge, that M.Lehman used to place logs on chains across that then lower gully through the cane lands.
We as a community were much stronger back then ,Mr Moose.
Back when D.Wolverton and 3 others formed the 1st community watch due to the 10 or so armed robberies a day out in HA.
We had a solid CB net work then.
But i digress,my wife said on day, enough is enough, when a past board of HARC banned us from doing any work for free on 1rd or any other road as it took jobs away from their friends in the community.
They even banned us from their meetings.
Great community with banning people they deem as trouble makers just asking simple questions .
We have been in HA since 1960s .
We have done our time.So have many out here.
Lucky we live hawaii.

Moosecock I do not think fishinjim was trying to be offensive just commenting on your choice of pseudonym.
Mimosa it must be very difficult for you to be objective by now. It would be difficult for anyone. It is unfortunate that many in the community do not feel that their voices are being heard, both inside the acres and in the broader world. There is resolution to all this. It does not lie in court action, but in the same community aloha that you quite rightly miss. Change is possible and in the case of the acres even probable so have faith.

many in the community do not feel that their voices are being heard

I would argue that the problem is selective hearing -- they're definitely listening if you don't pay your tax bill, or grow too many of the wrong plants -- but they go deaf whenever someone asks for services (unless they're in Kona).

This thread needs to be shut down.
It is no longer on topic,...... although quite clearly exhibits the mentality of HA residents..Which,.. is either a below average IQ, is shameful and just plane hate filled.
You have Jeff Wells (mc) with his true colors and birchl encouraging his disgusting posts.
My feeling is that since they are both so determined to control the topic it should be left to them to continue behaving like senseless halfwits alone.
