Oblivious people. They don't notice there's anyone else on the street, sidewalk, store aisle, so they go slow or stop completely for no particular reason. Nobody else matters, they're in their own private idaho...

I could not agree more with the 70MPH guy and the 45 MPH guy.
But there is also a twist to both - the guy who drives 45MPH - on EVERY ROAD ON THIS ISLAND. Speed limit 15 - go 45. Speed limit 55 - go 45. On an unpaved road in Hawaiian Acres - go 45. In the parking lot at Safeway - go 45. And then - my all time favorite gripe here - the "give up my right a way" driver. The cause of about 99.75% of the accidents at our favorite Puna intersection!

Yes I agree. They think they're being nice by letting someone go, but they're really not.

Texting while driving, and not looking at the road.
I think I'm going to start filming people doing this. ( as a passenger and not a driver..before you remark... I very seldom drive.)

uptight relocated mainland kooks who think they moved to a wetter more lush Houston TX or Dayton OH... when in reality they moved to a very rural isolated tropical island with the 'locals' no wanting to be another cookie cutter-like metropolis of yuppy Safeway shopping materialistic lemmings ****************************************************************** save our indigenous and endemic Hawaiian Plants... learn about them, grow them, and plant them on your property, ....instead of all that invasive non-native garbage I see in most yards... aloha

I agree with TomK about the sign wavers.
Why do we allow the very people who have outlawed everything else along the side of the road, (sales of fish, fruit, flowers, etc.) to exempt themselves? Sometimes I think fish would be an improvement not just on the roadsides, but in the council and assembly chambers as well.
