IBC Tote Wanted (or small chemtainer)
#1
Aloha,

I'm looking for a used IBC tote or a 100+ gallon container for storing water.

Our catchment tank is small and I'd like to hold some reserve for irrigation or drinking water if needed.

If you know of a source of a tote which is on this side of the island and hasn't been sitting in the sun, I'd appreciate your reply.

If you have a tote and want to keep it nice, keep it out of the sun...I looked at one for sale, pressed on the top and the cracking sound I heard did not sound good.

Mahalo.

Food-grade 55-gallon plastic drums are the most cost-effective -- if you can find some..

New tanks aren't that expensive, if you consider "service life" and "being sure it wasn't used for poisonous chemicals".

Thank you for the links, Kalakoa.

I've found 300G totes on the other side of the island used to haul hydrogen peroxide which are in great condition, but none near.

I'm going to hold tight to avoid retail even though I'm sure Chemtainer is a great company.
