HPPOA Board meeting (not)
#1
Although Morgan mentioned this in the thread updating HELCO progress, etc., I don't want to derail that important source of information. Hence the new topic.

From the HPPOA website:

"The regularly scheduled HPPOA Board of Directors meeting
for this Wednesday is cancelled until next month
due to storm issues."

Aren't "storm issues" a compelling reason for the Board to meet with the members NOW? They've already (almost) had one meeting, so the "issues" can't be because the facility is unusable. Maybe the "issues" have more to do with not wanting to face unpleasant realities.

How can this Board even pretend that it is representing its constituents? They should have been out chasing any and all assistance possible for HPP. Other subdivisions' boards have done so - and have organized the provision of assistance (ice, water, food, etc.) for their members. What has this Board done? Any special provisions given to HPP members came from outside the Association or individual members who stepped up to help their neighbors. OK, some of that outside help was electioneering...but why didn't the Board seek more of it?

Why did this group seek election to this Board, only to hide when the chips were down?
