In Puna the thin veneer of civilization, taken as the entirety of creation by the civilized people of Oahu, is easily seen for what it is. Here one experiences reality: volcanoes, rugged coastline, rugged individuals, wild surf, the best farmer's market, and, most importantly, a community where aloha actually exists. I love Puna.

LavaLava:
"In Puna - old people talk a bunch of crap. Since they are old nobody really cares." I guess Lavalava isn't aware that the only alternative to growing old is dying young. Carol
