All roadway shoulders are merge lanes when making right turns.
All roadway shoulders are de-acceleration turn lanes.
Signals are not required.
Headlights in rain or low light are optional.

Some drivers of big jacked up pickups think they have the right of way. Always. Or maybe they just can't see any cars within 50 feet of their vehicle.

When driving in Puna, please do not come to a complete stop to shaka, please only throw a moving shaka when there is traffic behind you!
When driving down Maku'u, do not stop to check out what looks like a dead Rottweiler on the side of the road. You may think you are making sure the dog is not suffering, but when you get close you will notice it is a huge wild boar and it will freak you out.

When backing out of the poke shack on Leilani, watch for traffic turning left off of Kanoelehua. Pulling out in front of left turners causes cars to be stuck in the intersection after the light turns red.

When driving down the road and turning don't use turn signals just turn.

On the serious side when someone stops in the left lane and waves you across a intersection on 4lanes make sure know is coming in right lane.
