Glenn Cornick, the original bassist for Jethro Tull died Thursday in Hilo. His friend Ken Cameron said “He absolutely loved Hilo. He came to visit me three-and-a-half years ago and within two weeks he said, ‘I want to move here.’
Three great albums, and a million memories.
Here's a video of Tull with Glenn playing Bouree live in 1969.

Saw Glenn play with Hilo Guitar's Ken Cameron at the typhoon Hayan benefit for Philippines last year. Ken, who helped organize the event, played in a band with his long time friend Glenn Cornick: Endangered Species- great rock!
Speaking of endangered species, I wonder which other notable souls are in our midst, & how can we honor them while we still can?

I believe Taj lives on Maui.

We saw Taj at the Honokaa Peoples Theater a while back. I had always wanted to see him live, and finally got my chance and grabbed it.
I had heard years ago that George Benson has, or has, a house on Maui also.
