I have found slugg-o to be only partially successful even under the most ideal conditions. Deadline seems to make a difference in the population immediately, but rain really diminishes the effectiveness.. I noticed that if I have anything they can crawl into they will, pipes, spools, pots etc. Putting the deadline in a turned over pot, or cut length of pvc pipe seems to really help with the rain and get to more slugs.. Its not uncommon to go out and inspect a pipe after one night to find a dozen dead slugs inside, especially if is a typical rainy night.
