HPP Board 2014

Jesus!! What is going on with you guys at HPP? I feel sorry for all parties involved. It seems you guys need more transparency, and less bickering.
Why don't you create your own little oasis, for your own each area? Secede from it!
Scotland just went thru a vote, you guys shall do the same.
RR avenue was always there. The ones that bought cheap next to it are moaning and groaning, because it became a reality. The road is now there.
You kidding when you complain about Makuu dr been messed up by the traffic flow? It is paved and what? the traffic flow is going to make pukas on a paved road?
I think you HPP guys are self centered, with no Aloha for what is about to happen.
Whomever bought cheap on RR, knowing full well that it was a road with potential to be open, have no room to complain. And I have no sympathy for you.

The call for the board to step down was amended. No discussion was held before the vote. That makes the vote null and void. As for deflection. You still have not answered my questions.

One can certainly get that picture with the posts lately.
HPPOA is plagued with very bad past decisions , our roads are substandard, our speed limit signs are unenforceable, we have unkept road easements that create lack of vision at intersections , we have received written notice from the Board of Health regarding our fugitive dust. warning us of fines up to 25k and we are relying on a brand new board to negotiate an indemnity agreement with the county on our behalf.
Board dysfunction for several years now, spreads like a fungus to the incoming Board . I wish we could simply sprinkle a little foot powder on it all and make it go away.
I view us as sloppy housekeepers with the in laws coming for a visit. We simply can't tidy up the place because we are too busy having screaming fits with each other!

You are confusing people or posts, I haven't posted about the meeting where that happened at all because I wasn't there.

Punalvr,

Please be careful about lumping everyone into the same group. You mention the vote in Scotland which was very clear in demonstrating people in one place think differently yet it is one country. HPP is a large subdivision, but saying "you HPP guys are self centered" is pretty insulting to many who may not have the opinions you think we do.

Thank you.

Another subdivision board has facilitated an open meeting every week for residents (owners/rentors) to gather and discuss the sharing of resources in the coming months.

Ride sharing, group shopping, produce exchange, Neighborhood Watch, logging pregnancies and people with health issues, and other ways to come together and help one another.

Yesterday's meeting was well attended and productive. I'm thankful to live in a community where people put personal agendas aside for the good of all.

TomK, my apologies if you were offended by my statement, and you are not part of the "me" comments that seem to prevail on this thread.
All complaints about this and that, (no need to mention them all), and I see no solutions offered.
All I know is that RR has always been a potential evacuation route, and now everybody is up in arms about it. They should (HPP Board), had a contingency plan. Now is a reality. And it also seems to be a temporary one, anyway.
We are all going to have to work together on this, and the sooner we start the better prepared we will be. HPP will have it easy compared to the ones that would be cut off by the lava.
