Why are we here?
#1
I love punaweb. It is a great source of information, but...

I am tired of the semi trolls. People putting down everyone that is trying to do something for the community.

Like the guy with his charts, Oh, no good, misleading, etc.

It seems that attacking the messenger is the motto here.

Those same people putting others down, are the ones that do nothing for the community.

I would suggest to be more positive on this website. Instead of attacking every single person, for their perspective, just pitch in with positive arguments, and not indulge, on how can we destroy their character.

I would like to see a community not so divided, but united, so we can move forward.

It does not matter where we came from, but the fact that we live here, in this paradise, should help you integrate, and be a part of this eclectic community.

As such, we should respect everyone's opinion, and respect them for it.

I am tired of how many of you, just want to go on the attack.

If you do not have something positive to say, please refrain from your own biased mentalities.

It seems we have a bunch of people in here that have not realized the world is changing. And your old mentality is totally outdated.

Behold and see as you pass by, as you are now so once was I, as I am now so must you be, Prepare for death and follow me."
Im not as you vehemently say "old" and yet find your statements very offensive and am ashamed there are people like you in this world who hate so much.

You may have had a legitimate thing to say but that last sentence pretty much Invalidated the rest of your statement.

Again, I do not HATE. Those are your words.
Your own mirror image, reflected upon you.
The word hate was not on my post.
I feel sorry for people like you, that attacks a post, where all I was trying to convey, was to get along, and understand, without attacking the messenger. You seem to be that kind of guy.
Putting words on my mouth that were never there, well, it goes to show me how shallow you are.
Re read my post.

Getting along by calling people "old"?

When I read punalvr's post, I read "old" as in "those who've been here a long time and don't want anyone who's new to insert an opinion." It's "old" vs "new," not "old" vs. "young."

I read punalvr's post and finally had someone say what I've wanted to say as long as I've been here (and it's longer than it shows by my number of posts).

At least this group gives me some hints about where I might go to look for real information.

I think the misunderstanding in your message for "Instead of attacking every single person, for their perspective, just pitch in with positive arguments" was your statement later that said
"It seems we have a bunch of old people in here that have not realized the world is changing. And your old mentality is totally outdated."

Many may take that statement as a negative statement on old people (most likely that drew the racist statement, but what you actually did was AGEISM not racism, but still not a nice 'ism')

ADD: To enlighten, you have no idea of the age of the bunch of people that have not realized the world is changing, and you may not realize that to label that bunch of people is not acceptable in todays changed world!

Check the response to punal(ea)v(e)rs post, later removed. Yes, ageism and racism in one convenient package, but he/she/it wants to tell us to all get along.
