So far the only thing missing from this disaster buffet is a nice little 4.4 or better earthquake. If the last two hurricanes I've experienced here are any indication, we should be feeling the ground shake any moment now![]

quote: I remember that! The EQ was the day before Flossie and the tsunami watch the day after Flossie. 1,2,3 and thank goodness none of them did anything much.

Was that the 2007 earthquake that hurt Kona on a Sunday morning at 7am and then the next night (Mon) I had constant lightning strikes all around my house from 10pm until 5 in the morning? That storm was horrible! New neighbors just here from Japan were traumatized and asking me "Is that what it's like living here??" I told them "no".

You'd never know that a hurricane was passing us by. At the ocean at hpp the waters calm with an occasional 1 to 2 footers with some on and off drizzle and occasional sunny periods.

Sistersue, we were here for that storm. Incredible! And that was our first time to Puna. Yet we came back over and over again, and finally moved here. I guess that little ol' storm didn't scare us off!

quote: no. The EQ before Flossie 1 was only a 5 and it was a monday night
