Owl deterrent to keep doves/chickens out of yard
#1
Has any one tried an owl decoy to keep unwanted critters out of the yard? If so, what was the results? Waste of money or a good investment

There was one on the roof above the KTA Puainako main entrance - - not sure if it’s still there. Somebody at the store must have thought it warded off something though, that they put it up there, maybe other birds? I see Don’t Feed The Birds signs on the walkway outside the store.

Get the solar powered one that moves. I've seen so many I would guess they do have an effect.

Royal, i have photos of all types sitting on, or right next to owl decoy .. so funnay.

Put a few rubber snakes out and keep moving them around .. NOT a long term solution but fun to observe.

Although not as cool as the first link, this probably answers the questions of the OP:

To save people valuable time: the first video is a robotic bird that is not for sale, the second is a guy saying a static owl statue kinda works but he’s heard that ones that move work better.

We had 3 on our lanai and had no doves there.
We had a pesky cardinal that during mating season constantly attacked it's reflection in our windows. It totally ignored the owls.
