HPP Board 2014
Secretary, an executive member of the board, yet he was in attendance. Was he dethroned? Never heard about this at any of the meetings. I don't think he even knew--------------------------------------------------
"Dethroned"? Where pray tell "M"can I find this in our bylaws?

And why are you asking us when you know full well what happened .... just as you knew about the improper dissolution of RTSC Committee?
Did YOU stand up for our bylaws? Are you doing so now?

Hppwatchdog,

Deformation is not a legal term. It refers to alter something physically.

I think you are talking about Defamation.

That is the legal term.

Get your dictionary out. Threatening is not cool either.

I like to read from people that are not ignorant.

Wow! What's with all the hostility? Did I miss something? I don't know why you assume "I" know why this happened. It sounds like you're the one in the loop so why don't you tell us?

And what pray tell does my knowing or your knowing about the decommissioning of RTSC got to do with this???

You're being unfairly critical and obviously don't know what you're talking about...I've stuck my neck out probably more than most members standing up for our association when the previous and current board's have broken bylaws and have been targeted several times bc of it. Where have YOU been?

I just hope most of the people involved in this thread who make threats and publicize their pissy arguments will be bankrupt soon after all the legal wranglings they want and just let the rest of us in HPP live their lives in peace and quiet, and that includes the grammar police.

Thank you.

Mermaid, here's your post on the RTSC Committee dissolution,

The RTSC was a 4 year old board appointed committee. It was appointed for another year in July or August 2014. It was decommissioned effective immediately via email from the President to the RTSC Chairperson. If the decision was voted on during an executive session, then it was done improperly as decommissioning committees isn't part of the format for executive sessions per our bylaws.

Yes, you are VERY much involved and I did expect you to respond to my question of whether you stood up for our bylaws with a resounding 'YES'.
That you did suggest to our President that the process of decommissioning our RTSC was not done in line with our bylaws.

(Why would this be considered as sticking one's neck out?)

This is your posting on the topic of our past Secretary. I say past because , we were told that he resigned.

"Noticed that the Oct 2nd and Oct 9th Board minutes omitted the title of the Board's Secretary, an executive member of the board, yet he was in attendance. Was he dethroned? Never heard about this at any of the meetings. I don't think he even knew."

Again , yes you are VERY involved!!!!
So my question, why are you asking us? Did he NOT resign as we were informed? And why bring this up now??? What possible good could your post serve our association? please answer

There are many who have posted on this thread. Past disgruntled employees, their friends, husbands of past board members , supporters of past board members, those that had hope for our current president and those that vilified her. There is one thing we ALL have in common. We ALL expect our leaders to follow our bylaws.

Yes, you are VERY much involved and most likely will be at the Board meeting tonight. My question remains, without hostility, Will You be standing up for our bylaws?

After reading all of Mermaid53's posts I am confused as to why there are questions about her standing up for our bylaws. Mermaid53 has always posted as standing up for our bylaws. ???

As has been pointed out previously, there are several factions of HPPOA with differing goals and differing approaches. The group that is focused on the lawsuit and is in support of the fired employees; the group that is for the Association and focused on the bylaws being followed; the group that wanted the old Board members and President held accountable; the supporters of the new Board members; the group that wants to recall all the new Board members.
There are overlaps with some folks agreeing with several groups. I am sure I have left out some groups.

I think it is important to find common ground. Agreeing that the bylaws be followed is indeed common ground.

With tonight's nomination of 4 new Board members HPPOA has another chance at following the bylaws and doing the right thing.

Reni, again you are uninformed. Sticking one's neck out has brought attacks upon myself and now the RTSC was decommissioned. You're assuming again that I haven't said anything to the Board. It doesn't matter to them what I think and I've been told so by one of them. It would take owners speaking on behalf of the RTSC to make any difference in how this board thinks about their improper actions.

How about that it goes down in history through our minutes that we didn't have a secretary during those 2 meetings. It was more important to them to make personal jabs at a board member. Aren't they supposed to take the higher ground instead of throwing accurate minutes under the bus? We have a problem of accurate minutes being posted as it is. As for the resignation, there has been major trust issues between certain board members and misinformation floating around.
