Safeway Gas $3.75
#61
I was in Phoenix last week and saw RUG (regular unleaded gas) at under $2/gal. I bought some diesel for $2.44/gal.

Kona Costco = $2.83 for regular (accounting for inflation, that's about the same price as in 1983 Wink

How low can it go...

Just filled up at safeway, cash price, 3.17 ...

Anyone lower on Hilo Side? I think it was under 25 bucks to fill up the beast. Hopefully, it will stay low for another 3-4 months.

$3.06 at Safeway. Although I'm currently in the Bay Area CA & paying $2.16 - prices dropping like a rock here.

$2.95 ...& the usual 9/10ths...at Safeway yesterday evening. actually had lines forming up at all lanes. guessing everyone was excited to fill up at under $3.00.

Just got back from there and several empty pumps / no lines. I think it has more to do with timing than price. Oddly enough the Chevron at Wallyworld at forty cents per gallon more did have lines.

that is odd, terracore. thought i detected a hint of consumer excitement in the air, but yeah, i suspect you are more likely correct about the timing.

$2.95 at Safeway.

Why go any where else?

Yet Hawaii's prices haven't really gotten much of a break with 3.31..

Finally yawl are getting a break as it sagged behind the rest of country, might see a tad less but, in the mean time, it's started to bounce off the lows, with new low prices of 1.71 although would be nice to maintain it down here,, not likely as the companies need/want it higher so, be happy and enjoy, savor it while ya can..

I'm keeping my fingers X-ed that OPEC can actually go the distance as they claimed. Because if they can, go long term with this, it'll cause it to stall from jumping back into high ranges.

Been working in Chattanooga for the past few weeks, and I've noticed that the gas prices in Chattanooga fluctuate wildly. One day it's $1.77; the next day it's $1.98; and a few days later it's down to $1.84 for a day or two, then returns to $1.77. This is happening at every gas station here that we drive by.
