LA KU’OKO’A FREE EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE
Aha Kanaka Moku o Keawe is hosting a free and public educational seminar in celebration of La Ku'oko'a the Hawaiian Kingdom Independence day. La Ku'oko'a is the the official day the Hawaiian Kingdom became the first non-european country to ever have official recognition as a sovereign independent nation by Britain and France. Scholars from across the island will speak on diverse topics surrounding Hawaii's rich history, and current international status as a nation-state.
Speakers will include Dr. Keanu Sai, Professor Donovan Preza, Professor Kaleikoa Kaeo, Kumu Keali’i Akina, Kaui Sai-Dudoit, Kale Gumapac, and Halealoha Ayau.
Lunch will be available for purchase. Pre-register at ahakanaka.eventbrite.com. This is a free and public educational seminar sponsored by Aha Kanaka Moku o Keawe. “Hae nani o Hawaii E mau kona welo ana.”
