Seems liked you have wandered way off topic. Maybe you should start a new thread. Just a suggestion justtheconvolutedfacts

it is in the hawaiian acres , so it is part of the subject, am i supposed to hide the fact that there are people who dont like what i say or post so they think by doing some cowardly act of ignorance , i will be quiet. this is not the first time its the 3rd time for dead animals . there have been other occurrences of far worse actions against me. oh as to the convoluted facts, no its clearly true i dont hvae to make things up and the neighbors smelling the carcass aren't liking it much either.

really i should allow intimidation tactics to silence me ?? i should allow domestic terrorists to control freedom of speech ? no way last time i looked this was the USA. I work hardi own for what and pay my taxes. i wonder if the cowardly person doing this can say the same. and it was one goat and two pigs. among other nasty deeds . hard head or you mean bury my head in the sand and let people do what they want, disrespect the community and folks that live in it.

Road lot is 40' wide; poles are set 5' in.

Wow three dead goats? Wonder if there's a goat farm nearby?

On Road 1 - in many places, the power and phone poles are not in the 5 foot easement and are actually in the lot on private property.
Even on Road 8 ( Moho ) the poles are not standard as far as the 5 foot easement goes.
In the 1980s we had a very nasty neighbor who was on the FBIs most wanted list.eventually the federal marshals came in and arrested him and off he went to mainland. But when here,he would steal from his neighbors, throw dead pig an goat carcasses in his neighbors yards and put dog doo doo in peoples locks.
Now with the advent of motion sensor cams 24/7 - this type of harassment can be recorded and turned over to law enforcement. We have 6 of these cams from the front gate to the interior of the main house and more.
Most neighbors we know have the same .
Weed eat all you want, check with your neighbors and see if thy have any other suggestions or may wish to help out .
Beautifying the roads is always welcome in H.A.
We keep our 1/2 mile of road cut back both sides, the whole 40 foot width.
Looks like a park and is very nice,in addition less opala and in dry times such as we are in currently,if there is a range fire, then creates a fire break for the safety of the neighborhood.

Neat -- seems like every day I learn another Exception To The Rule around here.

Being that Roads 1 and 8 were the first places to have poles, it's less than surprising that they're not standardized. Along the inner roads, they tend to be neatly within the 5' easement, and roughly aligned with lot corners so that there are two lots between poles.

Poles will also tell a bit of history; HELCO uses taller poles than Telcom, so it's possible to see which came first along a given road, parts that are "closer to civilization" will often have both.
