HILO – Thanks to Hilo resident Dan Marks, the United States may be on its way to a Constitutional Convention.

The states have been asking to convene one for years. And as Marks found out, all he had to do was ask the right person to start counting.

We spoke to Marks last week outside the County Building in Hilo.

thanks for interesting video. we are long overdue for this. but dont think it will happen in this administration regardless of time, money, number of states. the present constitution has been thrown to the wind, so why suppose they will allow this..

There's been rumblings of a Constitutional Convention coming soon the past couple years. I didn't know Congress had been ignoring these request by the States for such a long time, that's appalling if true. It could be why we are in such a screwed up state of affairs today. All parts of the machine were intended to function simultaneously in order for it to hold together and it's long past time to fire up the old steam engine on this aspect.
Keeping fingers crossed that this resets the entire machine.
