We Support TMT - Please sign the petition
#21
Only three days late. Must be kind of record for the Trib.

If anyone knows how to contact Mailani, let me know. I'll be happy to provide a tour of the the summit area, let her take part in our operations and even control the telescope for a while. Someone this bright and initiative deserves a reward.

If I post "signed" here on Punaweb, does that make me cool and/or have added benefits or reward points someplace ?

As opposed to the post you made instead, which more or less shows just how much of an a$$ you are? [B)]

(I signed it a couple days ago)

An opinion piece in the Herald that same day:

Syd Singer commented on it - not the opinion I thought he would have!

Signed it.
What if all the supporters of TMT showed up to protest the few that oppose it...
But we all probably have jobs.
One Thing I can always be sure of is that things will never go as expected.

Oh just saw that the opponents have 4oK signatures.
Maybe I was mistaken.
But I bet there are still more supporters anyway. If they would all just sign.

I haven't seen any highly educated high profile protesters. Just a few dumb actors and surfers.
Maybe i'm mistaken there too? If so someone correct me please.

If they are going to protest something why not focus on the pollution of the Ocean.
Cesspools by the water etc...
One Thing I can always be sure of is that things will never go as expected.

"But I bet there are still more supporters anyway. If they would all just sign."

there are probably more supporters of kidney stone removal technology than those against it, too. can be more a reflection of what lends itself to get passionately fired up about than an accurate reflection of popular opinion. depending on the topic, polls can suffer the same inaccuracies too, though likely not quite so dramatically as with petitions.

so punamauka the point is probably moot then. Thank you.
Now can we all quit wasting our time with this. ?
There's got to be something better to do.
