the anti-science crowd - cause

It appears that scientists have figured out what is causing the anti-TMT and anti-GMO folks in Hawaii to behave the way they do. [Big Grin]

Earth Endangered by New Strain of Fact-Resistant Humans

The research, conducted by the University of Minnesota, identifies a virulent strain of humans who are virtually immune to any form of verifiable knowledge, leaving scientists at a loss as to how to combat them.

“These humans appear to have all the faculties necessary to receive and process information,” Davis Logsdon, one of the scientists who contributed to the study, said. “And yet, somehow, they have developed defenses that, for all intents and purposes, have rendered those faculties totally inactive.”

More worryingly, Logsdon said, “As facts have multiplied, their defenses against those facts have only grown more powerful.”

"While reaffirming the gloomy assessments of the study, Logsdon held out hope that the threat of fact-resistant humans could be mitigated in the future. “Our research is very preliminary, but it’s possible that they will become more receptive to facts once they are in an environment without food, water, or oxygen,” he said."

Those pesky anti science people will no doubt be protesting Thalidomide, Agent Orange, Nuclear Power, Fracking, and the new coke next.

If it's "scientifically" developed, it's good; Right?

Most come for the clean air, land, and water. The Raw hard living of Puna was for the strong who tended their land, not for the weak, or glasses wearing science geaks. Things are changing and with the addition of internet, telescopes, and retired investers we will get even more weak science loving people who don't care about kids, land, water, or clean air. Leilanidude is a good example of the science folk that has moved to these parts the last couple decades. He wants and likes the drilling of Pele, he likes the raping of our mountains, he really does not care about anyone's culture or beliefs before or after him on this land.

Oh wow, it's all coming together! It's the 528 Hz signal drawing them in. It can only be received by the chosen of the Kingdom of Heaven, like Dead Heads, crack heads, meth heads, alcoholics and Teapublicans. The state helps by their designation of the Punatic asylum as the state mental hospital and homeless home, without needing to raise taxes, just enable free food programs and some methadone medical clinics. This corrupt, evil state government with their obedient little county minions is much more sinister and smarter than the conspiracy obsessives firmly believe in their heart of hearts. They were right, there is a massive conspiracy web trapping these people in a prison of their own making.

with the addition of internet ... we will get even more ... who don't care about kids, land, water, or clean air.

I counter thusly: with a well-developed internet, I wouldn't have to burn fossil fuels to drive to retail shopping centers that occupy large tracts of land. Don't blame the tools simply because some misuse them.

Here's a handy shopping tip for those of you who haven't tried buying on-line before:

When ordering tin-foil from Amazon, get the extra large size AND click the Subscribe & Save button. You'll never run out, and you'll save money too.

Still waiting for the page to load. Maybe it'll be done after I make breakfast.
