Mahalo for your input. I'd never heard the word 'netiquette" before. Can you tell I'm from the older generation?!?!? I used caps for ease of typing, not to shout - now I know better - learning something new Every day!

You're so funny! We're just trying to reach out to our local community. We get so many folks stopping by, hearing their issues w/regard to shipping and obtaining mail boxes. Now more people know: they don't have to drive all the way to Hilo airport to ship out parcels; we accept their outgoing parcels for Fed Ex, UPS, and more.

The previous owners were great. We are currently addressing the increasing needs of our growing Puna community, by offering more office services, packing and shipping. And, U.S.P.S. is also coming soon.

Our boxes, at $15/month, comes out to $180 per year. You were misinformed. What this price includes is delivery of parcels which many e-merchants will not send to a p.o. box or even a rural route box. Plus, with our promotion, going on now through June 6, 2015, we're waiving the sign-up fee as well as giving 3 months' free. Hope this clarifies things.

Thanks, I was wondering just how expensive it was.

At $540/year, it would be cheaper to pay association dues in a subdivision with mailboxes.

What we've garnered from the postmaster is that the p.o. boxes are free for those whose subdivisions have no mail delivery. However, due to the quantity of boxes at each post office, and the exponential growth of our Puna community, the wait can be years in length. In the meantime, those folks are able to receive mail addressed to 'General Delivery', but have to wait in line to see if they even had any mail that day. I also believe some e-merchants are unable to send parcels to G.D. as well as P.O. That's where we come in: our box holders receive a physical address, nullifying that issue.

The free USPS boxes are only the smallest ones they have. Just FYI.

Your flyer says "FREE 3 MONTHS (VALUE $127.29* BASE RATE)

*Limited availability
*$20 key deposit required

$127.29 / 3 = $42.43 (add $20 key deposit to round up to $45 month)

If I was misinformed quoting your flyer... my apologies.
