internet in Mt. View?
#1
Does anyone know what kind of internet service is available in Mt. View Village? I am talking about in the actual village center, not near by subdivisions. Due to prior experiences, I don't trust the various internet providers to answer that question honestly, so I am hoping people here know based on actual first hand knowledge.

I'm not sure where the mt.view village is? Are you talking about where the post office is?

Are you looking for free wifi access point? I think Mtview Library would have wifi available? Drive by and check it out. I know pahoa has free wifi. Used it a few times during the hurricane. Hopefully this will help you out?

Not looking for free wifi, I am trying to find out what level of service is available for residents of the Mt. View. The village is the area on both sides of the highway where the school, PO, Bakery, and gas station are, as opposed to the surrounding subdivisions which have Mt. View addresses, but are not in Mt. View.

Live in Hawaiian Acres near Mt View Village. Tropical Satellite 968-8874 installed my satellite internet service called over 2 year ago. I am very happy with the service and tech support. The two guys installing it were really nice and very helpful. They even set up my router for free. Give them a call. You will be happy with their service.

The only real way to check is to call both Oceanic and Hawaiian Telcom and start to actually place an order using the physical address of the place you want service at. Doing anything else is just a wild guess as to what you can really get.

Wild Blue apparently uses exede as a backbone, and has a booth in Prince Kuhio Mall. I wonder if buying a used unit sets you ahead any.
