i thought this line tacked on by Will Falk expressing disappointment at not having been further injured was revealing in a way:
"Unfortunately, there was not much of a bruise, though my friends did take pictures of the tire mark over my shoe."

Porta-potties were removed from Mauna Kea today. No one asked permission from the DLNR to place them on the mountain.

"
They're not providing any luas for the public up here and they're actually creating a sanitation hazard up here."
But smearing feces on the VIS restroom walls is just fine and doesn't create a sanitation hazard? Restrooms were provided to everyone visiting the mountain until the protesters made them impossible to maintain. Jeez...

So this Will Falk as quoted by PunaMauka2 is an outsider, rabble rouser, who's into "protecting" lands in America as well as here and has a voice in many radical news outlets. He has the fainting writing style of a southern romance novel. A self-styled lead lemming of the Kapu Aloha cult. Scroll down this link and one can see some of his other efforts.

And another one Spirit of Light, Kauilapele who travels the world but now has taken up the cause of protecting Mauna Kea. He says of himself:
This blog is intended to share some of the “things” I am “getting” from moment to moment, as energies change or move or talk to me, as well as items that may be useful to some of you as we move towards the Golden Age. I am a Spirit of Light working with energies on this planet, currently in Hawai’i, to assist in humanity’s ascension process and help bring about the New Earth. My spiritual missions have taken me from the Big Island of Hawai’i to neighbor islands (Oahu, Kauai), as well as to the mainland US, Peru (Cusco), Bolivia (Lake Titicaca), Egypt (Gizeh, Saqqara, the Pyramids), and Turtle Island (in 2013)
These are the people disrupting our peaceful healing, rainbow, island

The article says, "The porta-potties were donated to TMT protesters by residents and a few local businesses who wanted to show their support for the group that calls themselves protectors of Mauna Kea."
Anyone know which local businesses were involved. I want to make sure in the future I do not support them.

As it turns out, camping is already illegal...
Asked why the state didn’t opt simply to enforce current camping restrictions, Joshua Wisch, a spokesman for Chin, wrote, “Enforcement against individuals who violate current camping prohibitions is an option, but the proposed rule clarifies...

This article doesn't say who paid for the pota-potties, but if you click one of the photos you can see the name of the company who owns the units.
NOTE: The company may have had nothing to do with donating/discounting their porta-potties to the protestors. It's possible they just took an order and delivered them. But it's a place to start if you want to look into it more.

Amrita,
yeah, "outside agitator" is the word that immediately pops into my mind. ...usually i prefer to avoid outsider vs. insider branding, but in this instance it just seems so flagrant.
a quick scan through his archives reveals an almost obsessive penchant at times to indulge in the language of violence, in between the episodes of smarmy sappiness. "they hate hawaii", "confrontation", "blood", "war", "killing", "colonial violence", "bullets", "invasive government", "rape", etc.
...and i am beginning to think "cult" may not be much of an exaggeration.

PM2, I've read much of his drivel and "cult" cannot be applied. He's a loud egotist, and a terrible writer.
He's obviously young and craving attention.
If there actually IS an intelligent, cohesive argument against the TMT, I really hope it doesn't use Falk's words in any official capacity.

fair enough, though i was loosely referring to my impression of the general mentality coming off much of the "spiritual" side of the mountain as a whole lately. not a comment intended to be worth debating over here. though the Neo-cult of Maunakea might not be so far off the mark.
