turning down free money (again)

Too bad the County can't qualify as a "State" for Federal grants ... I'm sure we could manage to waste it on something.

First they threaten to take highway funds due to ineptitude, and now it's water. Somehow, our state bureaucrats can't even get it together to spend grant money. We are ruled by idiots, and the voters don't care enough to clean house.

The article doesn't make it clear, but it doesn't appear to be free money.

Just looking through the state website.

It looks like it, isn't free money, but loans. If it's turning down more loans, I don't have a problem, as I think we keep borrowing too much as is. Does anyone know anything more about this?

To recap:
More loans = booo!
Free money = get the torches and pitchforks!

Kenoi just signed the County up for another $99.75M bond debt.

Pahoa town needs a sewer system.

We're getting the debt anyway, how about some real improvements?
