liar. this is the kind of fear mongering crap that should get you kicked off PW. like shouting fire in a crowded theater. i live on pohoiki and there has been zero smell today or for that matter for weeks. you are either an agitator who likes to create a stir or an untreated mental health case. at any rate you are a liar.

edited to clarify obobs quote.

I take this to mean that you live here now , otherwise you have a nose like Pinocchio ,and for the same reason.

Maybe your nose doesn't work too well?
By the way I smelled it fairly faintly this am in Opihikao.

Well this is going to rattle a bit .I just drove up to Pahoa to get dvd at the library (at 4:09 pm ,had the ac on, and when I opened the door their was a fairly strong hydrogen sulfide stink.
So then I go for my afternoon pick me up coffee and see a friend , he informs me that he saw a UH van and a county vehicle while on his way down to Po'ohiki around 1:00 pm. In front of Leilani entrance on Pgv side. then the barista tells me that the county has been poisoning Albizia on both sides of the road in front of PGV with whatever it is that you drill holes and then fill it with poison - here we go again freebies for PGV by the county. Positive change around here will definitely take some time as the ole boy network is alive and working

Perhaps the "gas" you are smelling is from another, closer source. One from deep within your inner self!!!!! And I don't mean Cleveland - Ohio!!!!

I actually don't have a problem with this. If anything, my problem would be that they aren't doing it in more places. But I get that if there is limited funding/resources, having no trees around the power lines near the power plant makes total sense to me.

Bob - I bet you couldn't tell hydrogen sulfide from any other smell in the rotting jungle. Just to note, albizia have been blooming recently and they smell really bad.

BTW, PGV doesn't own the power lines. HELCO does. So even if the county was poisoning albizia, it wasn't a freebie for PGV. You really need to stop the lies.
