I wonder why the site you linked to has no measurements for the Pahoa area? Gee could it be that they don't want any measurements near enough to PGV that could indicate leakage from this very ------ neighbor?

Aloha Opihikaobob,

Well if you look again http://hiso2index.info/ you'll see you can click on Puna East Station (Pahoa) and if you then click on the >> at the beginning of the graph you can go back in time. So that is as close as one can get to the geothermal site. Again I often smell SO2 even when it's showing green but sometimes there is a positive SO2 ppm and though it is green and considered healthy it's positive for SO2. I live 10 miles from the ormatt site but maybe 12 days a year I find the odor and blue air to be troublesome. Kona winds. Compared to living in LA and smog, we have extremely clean air 98% of the time.

I agree 100% it's from Pu'u O'o or Halemaumau.

I small vog this morning.

As of 7:15 this AM the SO2 site http://hiso2index.info/
shows 0.03 at Mountain View and 0.00 at Puna East. Therefore I'm experiencing SO2 from Pu'u O'o not geothermal.

The HVO map shows big circle, in other words stagnant air.
