Land for sale in Royal Gardens
#1
I'm not sure why someone would buy in this area? http://www.clarkhawaii.com/search/advanced/?/mls/198631You gotta love the property description!
Of course people will ask me when our land will become a "parking lot". Maybe I'm just as crazy.

Note: I am not making fun of anyone especially Clark Hawaii as they were very helpful when we purchased our land.

Just for clarity...the listing appears on the Clark Realty site because the site picks up all MLS listings. The listing is actually with another local brokerage.

I know, but ClarkHawaii has IMO the easiest to use website for perusing Hawaii real estate. SO that's where I end up going.

Epilogue: I did call the listing agent and asked her about this. She thought it strange that someone from Kansas City would be calling about those particular listings! She warmed up when I told her we had land on the BI already. She basically said people will buy those lots just to say they have "land in Hawaii" and the cache' of having land that was (and is) being overrun by lava. Not too many people in the world can say that!

Those lots were selling at 10K (asking) before the flows started. That's kind of gouging pricewise.

I lived here when Kalapana was overrun, and while houses were burning the T.H. was running classified ads for "Hot deals in Kalapana Gardens! buy before they are all gone!"

I think this way it looks better.

Maybe I'll make an offer of $500 for one of those and see what happens.
